Joystick Junkies in Dirty Sexy Things!
Back in March 2011, we threw a fashion show for the new Summer collection at a cool London members club for press, buyers and friends. You totally missed an amazing night! Anyway new TV show called Dirty Sexy Things, following some models earlier this year covered the event as one of the girls, Ocean, was cast for our fashion show. You can check out the footage here, if you want to get straight to the clips go to 29:15 and 33:00

We just launched our brandzine, starting with Issue #1 it will look at what we’re up to, pics of people wearing our gear, press coverage, latest ranges and interviews with different members of the team.
Joystick Junkies VS back in Foot Locker
The latest Joystick Junkies VS range landed in Foot Locker stores across Europe this month with three designs based on EA’s Alice Madness Returns and a cool zombie tee based on Dead Rising 2. You can win an Xbox 360 on our Foot Locker page so go check out the range and which stores have the tees, to win!
Jacob Patterson designs for Joystick Junkies
Street artist Jacob Patterson has made a name for himself making videos of himself making art, and we hooked up with him over in LA to talk about games, fashion and art. Since we had so much in common Jacob agreed to get his head around some designs for Joystick Junkies and get his viewers to vote on which one we should produce so head over to his YouTube channel here to vote!
Summer Fashion Show & After Party
As you may know we like to throw some pretty crazy parties when we get a chance. So my the girls at China White’s in London loved our new collection and suggested we hook up to put on a big fashion show for our Summer Collection. So here it is. Click on the image to find the Facebook page and get yourself an invite! Full details on the page.
Big Thanks to Babicka Vodka, Explosion PR (who are doing all the really hard work sorting out the models, make-up, hairdressers and planning the actual show), Foot Locker for shoes, EQ for amazing Holographic Ion bracelets for the models (makes them more balanced)

Here’s a pic from our shoot over at EMI’s HQ in London, thanks to models & friends (left to right) Oscar, Karim, Jez, Kuljheet & Umi!
Joystick Junkies, the British street wear fashion brand today announced a global partnership with music giant EMI’s new apparel division to collaborate with a range of major electronic music artists.
The DISCOTRONIC collection features ‘Joystick Junkies versus’ designs that bring the brand’s unique graphic handwriting to the artwork of the greatest names in electronic music. “Many of these artists owe their heritage to the same digital culture that inspires Joystick Junkies, often creating their first tracks on the Atari or Amiga computers, the same machines used to create gaming’s classics.” Commented Chris Birch, Creative Director of Joystick Junkies.
The first DISCOTRONIC capsule collection launches with designs produced in collaboration with Deadmau5, Calvin Harris and The Japanese Popstars, with many more to be announced in 2011. “Deadmau5 was a perfect fit, his instinctive approach to tweaking technology to make the music he wants and his love for 8-bit graphics was a perfect fit for DISCOTRONIC”, commented Chris Birch.
Return of the Joystick Junkies 8-Bit Pendants!
I was visiting family near Coventry (I grew up in a little English town called Leamington Spa) and was lucky to get some passes for Deadmau5′s Coventry show on the UK leg of the tour. If you didn’t get to see any of the shows this year, seriously, you suck
Managed to hook up with Tommy Lee and Sofi (check out Tommy’s new act Methods of Mayhem) and of course Sofi is rocking the shows singing on the new Deadmau5 tune ‘Sofi Needs A Ladder’
Luckily I had a spare and final set of our 8-Bit pendants that have been so popular this summer so I gave them to Joel as I knew he’d appreciate their 8-Bit inspiration!
Finally we should have them back on the Joystick Junkies webstore in January – watch this space!
8-bit Inspired Stories from the Joystick Junkies
We invited a bunch of Joystick Junkies friends from around the world to post their 8-bit inspired experiences, quirky sightings or weird stuff from across the web in our Friends Blog. It’s on the topic of 8-bit or digital pop culture, generally the stuff around video games but not really ‘about’ video games (let’s face it there’s plenty of sites that do that very well).
They’ve gone mad posting some cool stuff and we think you’ll love it, so have a look and leave some comments & ‘Likes’ to encourage them!
